7 Reason why the Zhiyun is my favorite stabilizer of all time
f you landed here then you are probably wanting to find out more about the fantastic Zhiyun stabilizer and why I believe it is the absolute best stabilizer of all time. So go grab yourself some coffee and prepare yourself to read this quick review about the Zhiyun gimbal and also try and say that name Zhiyun 3 times fast!!
So here are my top 7 reasons why I love this incredible camera stabilizer
1. Quick assembly - This thing is a no brainer to put together. You pretty much pop the camera on and you are ready to go. Now you do have to do a little bit of balance the stabilizer but not anything fancy like you would on a glidecam or steadicam rig. Which brings me to my next reason...
2. Run and gun - With quick assembly you can pretty much get your shots done and be in and out in indie settings where you might have to be incognito or fast. This is perfect for indie projects where you don't have to rig huge monitors or wireless focus pull devices. You can not only assemble quickly but get your shots quickly.
3. Light weight - If you are a baby or just like shooting for fun you can probably handle operating this bad boy stabilizer for quite some time before you start crying to momma. I've personally gone like 2 hours of pretty much non stop shooting with this camera stabilizer but it's probably because I'm just manly.
4. Batteries - The batteries on the Zhiyun camera gimbal last FOREVER...I mean forever as in 6 hours. I went a whole day with this rig but wasn't exactly shooting non stop. Changing out batteries is just another thing that takes time and some clients don't want to wait on you.
5. Hard case - I'm not saying you are a hard case...I'm saying it comes with a hard case. And by hard I mean your gear isn't going to get squashed when traveling overseas. It's similar to a pelican case but smaller. This is something to consider when you are lugging camera gear around.
6. Best bang for your buck - The Zhiyun 3-axis stabilizer is literally the best bang for your buck due to it's dynamic abilities for simple prosumer gimbal. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars for quality cinematic footage that will take your project to the next level. I personally prefer this gimbal for smaller indie projects over the Ronin, Ronin M or other comparable stabilizers unless I'm working with a crew and have plenty of time for setup.
7. Versatility - What really separates this gimbal out from others such as the Ozmo or the GoPro gimbal is the ability to change out cameras. This is just a feature I really appreciate when it comes to a stabilizer with options.
Well, there you have it. I hope by now you realize how badly you need to get this powerful tool for making high quality professional videos and indie film projects. The Zhiyun dslr stabilizer can really take your videos to the next level. I highly recommend it...like...really.
